Billy Idol is coming to Germany on tour in 2025! The rock legend will be playing four concerts in Northeim, Munich, Bonn and Wiesbaden this summer:

27. June 2025 - Munich, Königsplatz
29. June 2025 - Bonn, Kunstrasen
02. July 2025 - Wiesbaden, Brita-Arena

Perhaps fans can look forward to new music before the concerts - a new Billy Idol album seems to be in the works. The rocker last released his seventh studio album King & Queens of the Underground in 2014.

Born William Michael Albert Broad in Stanmore in November 1955, Billy Idol began his musical career as a guitarist in the band Chelsea. In 1976, he founded the punk band Generation X, where he took on the position of frontman and enjoyed his first major successes. Despite this, the group split up in 1981, whereupon Billy Idol emigrated to the States.The Briton owed his breakthrough there as a solo artist in particular to MTV, which went on air at almost the same time as Idol's arrival in New York. Alongside stars such as David Bowie, Cindy Lauper and The Police, Billy Idol was one of the faces of the I Want My MTV campaign.
With a radio-friendly mix of pop, new wave and hard rock, as in his megahit Rebel Yell, the musician with the ‘bad boy’ image went on to inspire a wide audience and quickly rose to fame.The double-platinum album of the same name, released in 1983, is still considered the musician's best-selling record to this day.
However, the follow-up albums Wiplash Smile from 1986 and Charmed Live, released four years later, were also successful and went gold in this country.In 1993, the album Cyberpunk was released, in which the artist dealt with his addiction, after which it became rather quiet around the singer.It was not until 2005 that Billy Idol made an impressive comeback with Devils Background, proving with strong songs and excellent guitar sounds from his long-time partner and friend Steve Stevens that he was far from being out of the music business.Since then, Billy Idol has been touring regularly again.This was followed in 2014 by the seventh album King & Queens of Underground, where Billy Idol tried his hand at various musical genres.2020 also saw the song Night Crawling, an extraordinary collaboration between Billy Idol and Miley Cyrus.
